In a recent press conference, Mickelson said that PGA Tour’s legacy might not be the same ever again because LIV has decided to stay for the long run. PGA Tour had all the fantastic players, but the tables have turned.

He said, “The PGA TOUR for the last 20 or 30 years have had all the best players in the world. That will never be the case again. LIV Golf is here to stay, and this type of divisive talk is doing nobody good.”

He also said that both these tours are essential for a good golf ecosystem. He was of the opinion that the best solution was for everyone to come together.

After joining LIV, he said that everyone benefitted from the competition. PGA Tour is upping its game by adding enhancements to the tour so that they can keep players. And the Saudi Fund backs LIV golf. Therefore, the perks there are good.
