However, LIV Golf is also making sure that it doesn’t remain much behind in the race. The Saudi-backed league has come up with a digital plan to attract fans towards itself.

LIV Golf announces new fantasy game to attract golf fans

By adding Woods to its board, the PGA Tour has indeed established its dominance in the golf world. But the Saudi-backed league has come up with its own response to the situation. As a new marketing strategy to promote itself, LIV Golf on Tuesday announced the creation of LIV Golf Fantasy. Here golf fans could create and join their own leagues, draft LIV Golfers, and compare their lineup with that of other people around the world. Greg Norman shared the news on Twitter.

Fans can also create public and private leagues to compete against other smaller groups.

To make the game enticing, attractive prizes will be awarded. The winner will get passes for any upcoming LIV golf events of their choosing. They will also enjoy credit to the LIV merchandise store and autographs from players. Speaking about this new initiative CEO Greg Norman has said, “LIV Golf’s new fantasy game is another way to deliver on a core focus of our league: bringing new audiences to the sport through fun, creative opportunities that engage with fans around the world,”

The players could enjoy multiple options at different stages of the game. The team owners could rearrange their lineup ahead of the second and third rounds and change them for one of the four starters. Norman stated that this game is reinventing the possibilities of golf. According to him, this will be a big treat for the fans who love the thrill that the game offers my maintaining healthy competition.
