The second event of LIV Golf is officially underway. The Tour has some new additions from the PGA Tour who made their LIV Golf debut. But since the Tour has attracted most fans and players through their prize money, the question about the purse for the second event remains.

The first event took place back in The Country Club outside of London. The Saudi-backed Tour is currently having its first event on American soil.
Despite its bad reputation, the Tour has managed to grasp top talents from the PGA Tour. We take a look at what the purse of the second event looks like before heading to the final round.
Prize money and Winner’s payout at LIV Golf
LIV Golf is offering a total of $25 million in prize money for its second event, with $5 million going to the players on the top three teams. Notably, $3 million will go to the first team, $1.5 million to the second-placed team, and $500,000 to the team securing the third place.

Similar to the maiden event, the winner of the Tournament will win $4 million in prize money at the 54-hole event. There will be no cuts made during the event, and a total of $20 million will be split among 48 participants.

LIV Golf’s new additions, venue and more
The second event of LIV Golf is being held in Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, outside of Portland. Dustin Johnson alongside Carlos Ortiz look very prominent to win the second event of LIV Golf.

The Saudi-backed Tour has made big moves from announcing the new format for the 2023 season to the creation of “LIV to Give” initiative ahead of their second event. The Tour looks to attract more fans and people as they move ahead.

The tournament will profit from the entry of some well-known new players, with names like Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Patrick Reed, and Abraham Ancer joining some notable players from the inaugural edition. Even if the fields are getting better, the Series’ most appealing feature continues to be the massive prize money offered at each tournament.
