Is Tyrrell Hatton set to follow Adrian Meronk to LIV Golf?
The current world No.16 had made known his intentions to play on the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour, last week in Dubai when speaking to reporters. However, reports indicate that the Greg Norman-led circuit has made yet another run at the 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational champ. What’s more, he is reportedly set to join Legion XIII GC, which is Rahm’s team.
The news of him closely in negotiation with the alternate tour, as per reports, came out following the signing of the 2023 DS Automobiles Italian Open champ into the same. Meronk is set to join the Martin Kaymer-led Cleeks GC as its member and is reportedly set to make his debut at Mayakoba next week.
The 30-year-old had withdrawn from the 2024 Farmers Insurance Open just before the start of round 1. Although many reports indicated him being ill as the reason behind the decision, it appears the truth was something else. The professional decided to jump to LIV Golf, a week after finishing runner-up to Rory McIlroy at the Dubai Desert Classic at 13-under.
