LIV Golf Rumors: Wyndham Clark’s Possible Move to Join Jon Rahm Explored

Is Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII signing another player? A few days ago, it was reported that Kieran Vincent will be Rahm’s first signing to his new LIV team. Amid the ongoing rumor of Rahm’s new LIV Legion, a PGA pro namely, Wyndham Clark is reported to be in talks to move to the other side. As per reports, the discussions have been going on since December.

Rumors were swirling about Clark’s probable defection and it seems that now he is on thе vеrgе of joining thе controvеrsial rival lеaguе. Thе 30 yеar old is said to be interested in joining LIV’s new team, captained by the Spaniard. After Clark and Vincent, it is speculated that Caleb Surratt will be the fourth member of the team.

However, the deal between the 2023 US Open champion and the Saudi-funded league is not yet confirmed, but if it is a true report, it will indeed be a big blow to the PGA Tour. There were rumors of other players defecting to LIV Golf as well such as Viktor Hovland and Tony Finau. However, these pros thrashed the rumors with their befitting words.

Notably, Clark did not deny or confirm the rumors, unlike other pros. His stance on the league is still unknown, but he once again expressed interest in the format that the Saudi-funded league proudly boasts.

Speculations about his move started when he expressed support for Phil Mickelson’s LIV Golf stance. Clark endorsed the idea of playing music worldwide, featuring both American and international players. As per him, it would contribute significantly to growing the game on a global scale.

He said, “I love the PGA Tour, I love the United States, but I also love traveling the world and growing the game of golf; I think it’s the best thing for golf to make it a global game. If we could play more events outside the U.S. that have both U.S. players and international players, I think it’s the best thing for the game.”
