The LIV Golf Invitational Series will begin in less than a week, and the officials have released its field list. Although the golf world had expected Bryson DeChambeau to be a part of it, he wasn’t. And the world No. 24 has a perfect reason for not attending the Saudi-backed golf league.

“I think that’s mostly… a lot of it is private.” DeChambeau hesitated first when a reporter asked why he chose not to play in the league during the Memorial Tournament press meet. However, he later gave in and explained his reason.

“For me, I personally don’t think that at this point in time, I’m in a place in my career where I can risk things like that,” he stated. “I’m loyal to my family,” the 28-year-old continued. “…that I’ve created around me with sponsors and everything.”

Furthermore, DeChambeau explained that he would keep playing professional golf. He also added that he would concentrate on playing with the best golfers in the world.

Interestingly, DeChambeau has been facing accusations that he has been offered a massive amount from the LIV Golf, and he is considering joining the league. Even after he released a statement saying he wasn’t committed to it, many weren’t satisfied with his response.

However, now that the LIV Golf has released its field list, it has been revealed that DeChambeau is not a part of it.
