Accidents often tend to happen in a sports event. While it mostly occurs to the entities, there are times when the spectators get injured. In the case of golf, the audience gets injured after getting hit by the ball. Such an incident occurred during the inaugural LIV Golf event.

A golf ball might look small; nonetheless, it might severely injure a spectator if it hits them from a golfer’s strike. A fan at the inaugural LIV Golf event experienced such an incident when the American professional golfer, Peter Uihlein’s shot didn’t go as he planned and went into the audience.

The incident happened at the 7th hole on the third day. In the video, one can see that the golfer realizes his shot went wrong as he hit it. The ball went straight into the audience and hit one of the audience members.

Such accidents happen all the time on the golf course. However, what makes it special is how the victim reacted to it. As soon as the ball hit him, he fell to the ground as if he had died on the spot. The incident could have ended badly; however, the funny reaction of the victim made it a slapstick comedy event. Someone can be heard in the background saying, “he’s alive,” making the commentators laugh.

In a video later posted by LIV Golf, Peter Uihlein can be seen hugging and giving out his signed gloves to the injured person. The person who got hit seemed alright in the video. His laugh and actions made Uihlein laugh in the video.

Peter Uihlein is a Korn Ferry Tour player who has won two events since being a professional golfer in 2011. The 32-year-old is presently playing in the LIV Golf’s first event and is captain of one of the teams, Crushers GC.

In the third round, he had to go through an unfortunate event when the ball he hit accidentally fell on a spectator. However, other than that, he had a good day on the course. Uihlein’s birdie helped him even secure a second position for a moment.

However, after all the three rounds finished, he fell back to the third position, a tie with Branden Grace, with an overall 5-under par. Furthermore, he is the only Crusher in the top 15 after three rounds.
