Weeks After Winning $35 Million, LIV Golfer Talor Gooch Opens Up About His Philanthropic Venture
It’s the gentleman’s game once again! The athletes in the sport of golf have been proving the moniker right over and over. And this time, it’s Talor Gooch who has made the news once more after a scintillating season on the Saudi-backed circuit.
The American had been crowned the LIV Golf Champion in 2023 after the event in Jeddah. This led to him earning more than $30 million throughout the course of the second season. However, the sports world was caught off guard by what the golfer did next, as he decided to use the money for a surprising purpose, all the while exhibiting his philanthropic side!
Talor Gooch turns humanitarian

Owing to an amazing performance on the circuit over the year including three victories at Adelaide, Singapore, and Andalucia, Gooch was able to earn an amount close to $35,391,411. This comprises the $17,391,411 on-course money along with the $18 million bonus for the title of Champion. However, the 31-year-old did not take the earnings for himself, as he revealed his plans on social media.
A post was uploaded on the Instagram handle of the professional’s non-profit organization, the Talor Gooch Foundation, aimed at uplifting the children in Oklahoma. In the picture shared, the champ indicates how he wants to give “a chance” to “better the lives” of the “next generation” so that the state and city, as a whole, can improve.

A post was shared by LIV Golf that showcased Greg Norman awarding a ring to the title holder. The series of pictures showed the Aussie on his knees, presenting the same during the welcoming party ahead of the tournament that took place in Miami.

Other snaps included the chap posing for a picture with the ring on his fingers, followed by another one with Norman. The glittering jewelry was a new form of celebration brought to the PIF-funded league in collaboration with IF+CO, the company of the famous Ben Baller.
