LIV Superstar Bryson DeChambeau Shares the Real Reason Why He Fell in Love With Ben Hogan and His Famous Flat Cap

Bryson DeChambeau doesn’t shy away from disclosing his love for Ben Hogan. The LIV Golf star has been donning the Hogan cap since the initial phase of his career. During the most recent video posted by DeChambeau on his YouTube Channel, the golfer explains how his love for the Hall of Famer’s famous styled cap began.

Been Hogan is undoubtedly regarded as one of the greatest golfers of all time. With 9 major wins, Hogan hardly had any competitors during his prime days in the 1950s. Along with the golfer’s top-notch golf performances, Hogan’s cap was also adored by the future generations of golf.

Bryson DeChambeau has always shown admiration toward the Hawk. In his recent YouTube video, the 28-year-old elaborates on his love for Hogan and his famous cap.

How did Bryson DeChambeau fall in love with Ben Hogan’s cap?

In the video, DeChambeau shared insights on how he became a professional golfer. While sharing the information, he then discussed Ben Hogan’s influence on his career.

Bryson DeChambeau shared why he started wearing the Hogan cap. He said, “So me wearing the cap, that started because I loved Hogan and I started it shoot when I was 12 or 13”. The Scientist further added, “I started wearing it because I noticed everybody else was wearing the same ball cap. And I wanted to be different”.

DeChambeau’s love for uniqueness was established from a young age. Even now, the golfer is known to stand out from the rest of the golfers for his same length of golf clubs or even for his Hogan cap. The 2020 US Open winner then shared a story of a golf tournament in which he had participated while donning the Hogan Cap.

Bryson DeChambeau said, “And so at a golf tournament and poppy Ridge, never forget it was Poppy Ridge pro shop. I went and saw this cat. It was a black cap. I’m like, I want to wear that. My dad was like what? Like yeah, I want to wear that cap because everybody else was wearing the same I saw somebody else wearing the same like like it was like a tailor made or same some same hat. I want to wear something different to stand out a little bit. So I did”.

The LIV Golf star then disclosed that he went on to win the Tournament. DeChambeau said, “And I went and won that tournament that we didn’t take it off for a long time. And from then on. I was wearing it for a long, long time”. As he mentioned, the Scientist has fallen in love with the Hogan cap. To this day, he represents the legacy of Ben Hogan while wearing the famous styled cap. It’s great to see the future of golf admire the legends of the game.
