While Greg Norman is accustomed to criticism and vitriol since his golfing days, he has managed to keep it together across many decades. But with each passing day, the pressure keeps growing from the constant chatter on the internet. In the past, Norman has let slip a few words that didn’t mince well, and his recent interview with media personality, Piers Morgan, has got the fans talking again.

What did Greg Norman say in his interview with Piers Morgan?
Norman spoke about a wide range of topics, including the future of golf and his ‘moral line’. “My moral line is I believe in the product,” he said on Piers Morgan Uncensored. “My moral line is I’ve been a big, staunch proponent of growing the game of golf on a global basis.”
The former Aussie golfer also pointed out his life-long service to the game and his efforts in increasing the popularity of the game in different countries. He divulged on how golf was initially considered the benefactor, but turned out to be the main reason to improve basic factors such as employment and the economy of the society.
Spectacularly, Norman also pointed out Rory McIlroy’s staunch comments on the LIV Golf Series and advised him not to “begrudge the other players for making the decision”.

The Australian great’s response was based on McIlroy’s comments on LIV Golf rebels and their choice to leave their parent association. The 4-time Major Championship winner from Northern Ireland made those comments during the BMW PGA Championship, where LIV Golfers were allowed to participate alongside other Tour players.

“It’s going to be hard for me to stomach going to Wentworth and seeing 18 of them there. That just doesn’t sit right with me,” he had said.
Norman responds to Rory McIlroy
More recently, at the press conference at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. McIlroy was more forthcoming, vouching for a settlement between both parties. However, Norman had a blunt response to the offer.
“Well, my message is, Rory, you’re an independent contractor; you have the right to make your decision,” Norman said. “Remember, Rory started on the European Tour. Then Rory decided to leave the European Tour to go play where all the money is, where I went to play, to the PGA Tour.”

“Don’t begrudge the other players for making the decision that is a rightful decision under their independent contract or right to go do it. It’s just a shame that people have taken this stance when if you look back over a period of time, they’ve pretty much done the same things themselves,” Norman further lamented.
However, fans were bewildered by Norman’s take on McIlroy’s statements and his moral line comments and reacted aggressively. Here’s a selection of those tweets.
He finally said it out loud in public… "I don't want to be known as the biggest choker in professional golf history any longer. I'm weak, insecure and miserable. I want to rewrite my legacy. I'll take money from anyone to build something that will help ppl forget the choking."

Norman living in a fantasy land. His perspective on what’s going on is so off it’s crazy. Typical behavior for a narcissist

Did they have to spell moral line for him?

Thing about Rory is he has integrity by the boatload. Then there's Greg Norman who said LIV Golf is in "live conversations" with "four different networks" for a media rights deal.
"The interest coming across our plate right now is enormous."
ENORMOUS INTEREST!🤣🤣🤣
