The second season of LIV Golf is only a sleep away from our TV screens. While some have been critics of the Tour, many are excited about the upcoming season. One among the enthusiasts happens to be the analyst of the Saudi-funded Tour, David Feherty, whose comments about the Tour’s haters have been making headlines on Twitter.
Since the past year, many PGA Tour stars have made their way to LIV Golf. While the newly founded Tour has attracted many on-course talents from the American Tour, it also managed to grasp some of its commentators. Feherty who’s been commenting for PGA Tour events since 1997, was heavily scrutinized for his move to LIV Golf last year.
However, ahead of the second season, the golf analyst was interviewed by Golf Digest, shedding light on his thoughts about the critics. Let’s take a look at what he had to say.

LIV Golf commentator has a stern message for haters
The Northern Irish commentator is popular in the golf world for disclosing his unfiltered thoughts, and the latest interview proves it. While many LIV Golf participants have been reluctant to talk about the money offered by the Saudi-funded Tour, Feherty didn’t shy away from saying, “Money was terrific”, while referring to his contract.
“I felt I couldn't say what I was thinking for fear someone, somewhere, would be offended. Also, the money was terrific.

The 64-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the lucrative Tour. He further claimed to have “no regrets at all”, about leaving the NBC Golf Channel where he feels he was underappreciated. In the end, David Feherty says he is excited to be busy again with the start of LIV Golf’s second season. However, before his concluding statement, another remark from the analyst received wide attention on Twitter.
The former PGA Tour commentator said, “My goal is to piss off at least one viewer per week, but I’m hoping for more”. While the statement indicates Feherty’s witty humor, golf fans on Twitter weren’t very pleased with him. Many decided to take shots at him while defending the PGA Tour and mocking LIV Golf.

Feherty is like Kramer in Seinfeld. Great in the right amount. Too much and it tires quickly

I honestly thought I'd miss him on the tour broadcasts but it's hasn't turned out that way. I miss Faldo way more.
I think David needs to watch his words even more closely now as, pissing off his new bosses could result in grave consequences.

Though many criticize the former pro golfer for his comments, they to a certain extent only proved him right. However, with the new season of LIV Golf set to start in a matter of few hours, more chaos will unfold online.
