A series of tornadoes barrelled through the United States on Friday, causing unprecedented destruction in their wake. Sparing none, thousands have been disrupted and their homes uprooted. One such person was LPGA golfer Emma Talley, whose hometown suffered the wrath of nature.

Talley took to Instagram to share the horrific condition of her hometown. The photographs, enough to raise goosebumps, give a real picture of the destruction caused. Moreover, she opened up about the initiative started by her to help those most in need.

A post shared by Emma Talley (@ertalley)

She wrote, “Here are a few pictures of my hometown. It got beat up by the tornado a few days ago. My mom says it is way worse than the pictures. So many of our friends lost EVERYTHING… I have posted a GoFundMe that our local Chamber of Commerce set up with our local bank that will help all the families in need.”

Korda expressed her sadness and wrote, “So sad. Thinking of @ertalley and her friends/families and everyone effected. Check the link to help out… every cent/dollar helps.” JT, similarly, wrote, “So, so sad. Help spread the word and donate to the people affected by this awful tragedy.”

Kentucky was one of the worst-hit states, and the nightmare caused destruction on an unimaginable level. To help those in need, donate to Talley’s disaster relief fund. Until now, $43,143 has been raised of the $50,000 goal. Hopefully, they raise enough and much more to kick-start the process of re-doing all that they lost.
