After marrying caddie Pete Godfrey in 2017, Park was blessed with a baby girl in 2020, named Grace Godfrey. But tragedy made a strike on the happy family when 10 months after her birth, the baby girl started having seizures and swelling in her brain and was rushed to the hospital. Ultimately the seizures and swelling led to brain damage which resulted in Grace facing a life of hardships ahead of her. And to support Grace and her family in their difficult journey, a special hat with the name of Grace engraved on it will be available at the DOW event.

Nelly Korda and Lexi Thompson have also contributed to Park’s cause earlier
Before this, the LPGA community made another big gesture to support Park and her family with the growing expense of childcare. In the month of May, a special charity event named ‘Saving Grace’ was held in The Clubhouse in Fairfield, New Jersey. At the event, star golfers like Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson, and 20 other LPGA stars appeared to help support the cause. Such kind of overwhelming support must have given Park and her family great strength to fight the situation.
Once again with their heart-touching gesture, the LPGA ladies showed that they value sisterhood above rivalry. What do you think about Alison’s and Korda’s sweet efforts? Let us know in the comments below.
