“I will be making my LPGA Tour debut in November at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican!” Trump announced through an Instagram post. Since she is the granddaughter of the POTUS, a special security arrangement has been made for her game at The ANNIKA. Grant Boone, long-time play-by-play commentator on Golf Channel, has revealed the news with an X post.

“The Secret Is Out: Presidential security detail following Kai Trump as she played the front 9 at Pelican. (No sign of granddad yet.). The 18-year-old HS senior/fashion designer/YouTube star makes her LPGA debut this week. Says her only goals are to have fun and play her best,” he wrote.

Additionally, Kai Trump is also known outside golf as a fashion designer, YouTube star, and brand entrepreneur with a large social media following. This adds to the spotlight and security considerations. She received an invitation from the Pelican Golf Club. Trump joined Anne-Sterre den Dunnen (a) and Lauryn Nguyen as the last recipient of a sponsor invite.

“My dream has been to compete with the best in the world on the LPGA Tour, and I am thrilled to be able to compete at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican in November,” said the future University of Miami golfer. “This event will be an incredible experience. I look forward to meeting and competing against so many of my heroes and mentors in golf as I make my LPGA Tour debut.”

She will certainly meet many star golfers, who are part of the field at The ANNIKA 2025. Some of the elite names include Nelly Korda, Charley Hull, Brooke Henderson, Lexi Thompson, Hye-Jin Choi, Lilia Vu, Rose Zhang, and others. Moreover, the host Annika Sorenstam will also be present at the event. Besides these LPGA stars, WNBA legend Caitlin Clark will also join the golfers at Pro-Am. She even brings a couple of her teammates as her caddies.

Kai Trump will face the likes of Nelly Korda at the event, who will look to win the event for a record 4th time. Since the launch of the event in 2020, Korda has won it three times. She didn’t play in one of the remaining two years and was 25th in the other. She has an impressive record at The ANNIKA and was one of the two golfers, alongside Annika Sorenstam, who played with Caitlin Clark in 2024. In fact, Korda even made Clark jealous of her love for the sport and how easily she plays it.

Trump is an avid golfer. She has been playing and following golf for several years now. She was even present at the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black with her grandfather, Donald Trump.
