The golf world has seen many close friendships in the professional world. And just like the PGA Tour has the friendships of Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth, the LPGA Tour has its own set of strong bonds too. Arguably one of the most popular of these is that between Nelly Korda, her elder sister, Jessica Korda, and the LPGA icon, Megan Khang. The three have often flaunted their off-field friendship; however, of late, bonding time hasn’t been possible since one of the Korda sisters is out for the count.

Jessica Korda is currently on a break from competitive golf as she is expecting a baby in February. Her long hiatus has been ongoing since her back injury. However, her current absence is for the merry reason that her family is growing. While she undoubtedly misses the greens, the soon-to-be mommy just reminisced about a memory that shows that she is also missing the company of her friends!

Jessica Korda misses her coffee posse

A cup of coffee is sometimes all we need to have a good conversation and relax. It appears that LPGA pros believe in this as well. The soon-to-be mommy recently took to her Instagram stories and hosted an ‘ask me anything.’

One of the fans asked, “What’s your go-to coffee order?” And Jessica Korda shared more than that. Along with her go-to coffee order, which is an “iced or hot latte with oat milk,” she also shared who she likes to have her coffee with. The names are those of her younger sister, as well as those of LPGA stars Megan Khang and Allison Lee, and the Director of Sports Medicine at Elite Golf Performance, Adam Olarenshaw.

In her story, Korda wrote, “Missing my coffee dates,” tagging the three golf pros and Adam. Megan Khan too, in turn, responded to the post, sharing the story with hearts, showing that she too missed the pregnant LPGA star just as much!

Per Golf Digest earlier in May, the headlines concerned a group chat that a handful of LPGA players ran. The people in that chat (the names in Jessica’s story) were constantly looking for good coffee at every tournament. The sisterhood that took birth over coffee also allows these players to unwind from Tour-related tensions.

Taking a break was necessary for Jessica Korda. However, it comes with its own pros and cons. As part of her ‘ask me anything,’ she reflects on a couple of challenges she is facing. And the changes in her body. Let’s learn more about how the Korda sister is feeling.

One of the fans asked her if she was enjoying being off for a while. To which the professional golfer responded honestly. “I am and I am not.” She said she is missing golf and her friends. However, she is excited about the life change happening inside of her. And one that will occur outside in a few months.

And she also thinks that her body and mind need a bit of a break. Having said that, it is certain that when Jessica returns to the field, she will play her best game. Because, as per her, she has been dreaming about golf tournaments quite a lot.

Jessica also presented a list of things she’s been able to do when away from golf. Seeing her family in Prague, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and their dog have brought her immense peace and happiness. She’s just trying to give everyone time before the little munchkin demands it.
