Well, a while back, the Englishwoman took to her social media to share a piece of happy news, all the while giving her American counterpart a jovial rivalry of sorts.

A little while back, Korda had welcomed Greyson John DelPrete as a new addition to their family, all the while exuding elation at becoming an aunt. Now, it appears Thompson has one-upped the 25-year-old, picking a huge family role for her adorable nephew, Maverick Cole Thompson, on her 29th birthday, no less!

A story was shared on the 29-year-old’s Instagram account, showcasing a picture of her cute nephew with a card smiling at the camera. The board was addressed to “Auntie Lexi,” asking her a heartwarming question, “Will you be my Godmother?” She was quick to answer as the professional shared a caption along with the same snap: “Yes I Will!!”

That wasn’t all. Adding on to her caption, the 11-time LPGA Tour champ also mentioned, “And I’ll love, care for, and be there for you every single day!!” It surely does put a smile on everyone’s face. In the next story, she shared another picture of her nephew, but this time the athlete was holding him lovingly. It was shared with the caption, “Got to see Little Mav before I left the country,” while alluding to the Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented By PIF that will start on February 15 at Riyadh Golf Club.
