Charley Hull’s last win on the LPGA Tour came in the year 2022. The English golfer bagged the title of the Ascendant LPGA, benefiting Volunteers of America, by defeating Lin Xiyu by one stroke. Hull’s 2023 LPGA campaign was winless and it seems the streak is continuing with the 2024 season as well. Hull has only two top-10 finishes; the latest came at the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship.

The 28-year-old is struggling not only with her on-course performances but also off-course, she is continuously troubled by repeated health hassles. Hull’s recent series of stories on Instagram gives a sneak peek at what she has been up to these days. Just two days before the Chevron Championship, the Kettering native revealed that she had sprained her right ankle. The LPGA star posted a photo with her sister, in which she was spotted wearing a pink cast.

The sprained ankle hasn’t deterred Hull from teeing it off on the Texas greens. In the next story, the two-time LPGA Tour winner revealed she was on her way to Houston alongside Olivia Cowan and a dear friend and even wrote “Houston Baby.” While joking about the “space bun” hairstyle, the first thing Hull did after reaching Houston was to hit the gym. Despite the injury, the fitness freak continues her exercises. However, it couldn’t be with the same intensity as before. Hull said in her story, “Arms and abs session. Can’t do much this week with my ankle.”

Hopefully, her health hiccups this time around won’t hinder her performance on the greens like they did at the Ford Championship. Last month, the 28-year-old could only play 27 holes on the Arizona greens, after which she had to withdraw due to a sudden illness. Although the ankle sprain had caused a few disturbances, Hull wouldn’t be taking any chances with her health this time. That’s not all. Hull’s off-the-course shenanigans almost resulted in a severe injury.

Charley Hull’s hilarious incident that nearly broke her nose

Last week, Charley Hull took to the court with her friends and went to play a round of paddle with them. However, the outing was way more eventful than what the LPGA Pro might have expected, as she updated her fans about how she nearly broke her nose. The pro shared Instagram stories in which she said, “played paddle yesterday and somehow managed to wack myself round the face and bust my nose and give myself a concussion.”

The impact was so cruel that Hull believed she actually broke the nose bridge. However, fortunately, it was a minor injury from which Hull recovered quickly. This was just another injury that affected the 28-year-old. Hull’s 2024 season began on a rough note. The 2-time LPGA Tour winner revealed during an interview how she was down with flu and suffered food poisoning just before the Hilton Grand Invitational. Now, with the sprained ankle, the series of uninvited illnesses and injuries isn’t leaving her alone. Coming at the Woods in Texas, she would surely want to keep her body as healthy as possible for the Chevron Championship and card her third victory on the LPGA Tour!
