Playing tournaments every week for 3–4 days can be a really hectic deal for a golf pro. Each tournament not only includes the 4 days of the event but also the beforehand practice sessions and Pro-AM rounds as well. In the fair lineup of the events, it can get really tiring for the golfers, and they might end up looking forward to the little break they get in between the weeks.

Minjee Lee, the LPGA star, performed beautifully at the $1.75 million event in Cincinnati and shocked everyone with her stellar win. But after Lee won, she shocked her fans more with unexpected news—and it had everything to do with the Tour’s hectic schedule!

The final round of the Kroger Queen City Championship was as dramatic as it could get. At the end of the final round, both Charley Hull and Minjee Lee tied for the first position with 16 under 272 on the board, and it called for a good old-fashioned playoff between the two.

On the par-four 18th hole, Lee’s approach shot landed her three feet from the cup, and henceforth, she scored a birdie. On the contrary, Hull missed her birdie putt and made par in the playoff. As a result, the Australian golfer won for the first time since the 2022 US Women’s Open.

After the tournament, during her post-round conference, an interviewer questioned her about her altered momentum during the last part of the season, and this is when she revealed that she wouldn’t be competing at upcoming events in Arkansas and Dallas and would be on a small break. She also shared how her win made her feel before taking time off and said, “Actually, I’m not playing Arkansas and Dallas, so it does feel nice that I finished on a high this kind of stretch of tournaments.”

Extending further about her time off, she said that she is really excited and is “looking forward” to the couple of weeks off. Not only this, but the Australian golfer also shed some more light on her plans during her break.
