Who is Ashleigh Buhai’s husband?

Asheligh Buhai was born on May 11, 1989, in Johannesburg, South Africa. About 18 years later, David Buhai and Ashleigh Simone met at a golf academy. They both received training in golf and got into a relationship during that time.

While Ashleigh pursued a career in golf, David went on to work as a project manager, as per his LinkedIn records. However, out of love for the sport and for the woman in his life, David pulled himself back to golf.

The proposal: Ashleigh Buhai gets hitched

Although Asheligh might have experienced a momentary shock, she probably knew it was bound to happen sometime. When you are dating your caddie and the relationship lasts almost a decade, you are going to receive a proposal on a golf course one day. It’s a given.

The couple apparently had an interesting gag between them about their wedding. It seems that they were not expecting to get married until 2023, at least. However, David had an interesting twist to add to the theory.

He told Asheligh that for every birdie he makes, they would knock off a year from that 2023 mark. We don’t know if they actually did or not. However, he did propose to her at the Dubai Ladies Masters Tournament in 2015.

“I always wanted to propose to her in Dubai, the season finale, and I knew she wouldn’t expect it. I got my sister [a diamond dealer] to make the ring, and it’s been a process of trying to hide it ever since I got here,” said David in an interview after.

This video of his stunt went viral online, and a lot of love and affection poured into David’s heart after that incident. Some called it the funniest thing they had seen on a golf course at the time.

Is David Buhai at the BMW Ladies Championship?

As per the latest updates, David Buhai still caddies for Jeongeun Lee, who is also playing in the BMW Ladies Championship. She currently holds a shared 11th position after three rounds. So it would be safe to say that David Buhai, too, is present in Korea, perhaps secretly rooting for his wife.

Will this event enter the list of Asheligh Buhai’s big wins, and more importantly, will David make it to the headlines in some way? Well, that remains to be seen.
