The newest major championship in women’s golf, The Amundi Evian Championship is scheduled this week in France. The event is being hosted by the Ladies European Tour and is highly awaited as it stars some of the biggest names in golf. Among such hype, people are wondering if Jane Park will make her entry on the field. But unfortunately for her fans, Park will not be appearing in the tournament. The LPGA has announced the list of all the golfers who are participating in the event and Jane’s name is not there.

She recently appeared at the Dow Lakes Invitational. Park has been spending her time off the green due to her daughter Grace Godfrey’s intractable epilepsy. The health condition of her child has demanded Park’s constant attention and she has been playing the role wonderfully. Last week speaking about the possibility of Dow being her last game, she said, “ If it is my last time, then I am very appreciative for the opportunity to kind of rewrite the ending of my golf career”. Her appearance in Midland last week came after a gap of two years.

Last week after a gap of two years, Park finally returned to the green at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational. Her friends on the tour were equally emotional about her return. She struggled all through though and missed the cut alongside her partner Paula Creamer. At Dow, Park involved also herself in a noble cause

At the event specially customized hats with Grace’s name, her daughter, were sold and the money from that went to the foundations that treat people in similar conditions. While Park is busy playing the role of a devoted mother, her fans await her return to the green.
