Luke List Joins Jon Rahm In an Incredible Stat After Winning the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open

History was made when Luke List hoisted the trophy of the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open. Although the first win came late in the life of the 37-year-old, he won it by creating the same record as the World No. 1 Jon Rahm.

List turned pro in 2007 and joined the Korn Ferry Tour in 2010. The current world no. 151 didn’t have many memorable moments in his career until his recent victory at the Farmers Open. He had only won two titles in the Korn Ferry and none in the PGA Tour.

After joining the PGA Tour in 2013, the Open was his first-ever win at a PGA Tour event. Luke won the tournament after dueling with Will Zalatoris in the playoffs after both golfers scored 15-under par.
Although the victory itself is a huge achievement for List, the record which was created with the win made it more special.

While Luke became part of history just now, Jon has done it a while ago. Rahm was 22-years-old when he won his first PGA Tour title, the Farmers Open, in 2017. Rahm won the tournament with a score of 13-under 275 then. Although he was a rookie, everyone knew what the Spaniard was capable of since he spent 60 weeks as the No. 1 amateur golfer in the world.

Meanwhile, the victory of List came as a surprise for everyone. Next year will mark his 10th year at the PGA Tour, and he had never won a title until now. However, the 37-year-old had finally won it and moved to the fourth position in the FedEx rankings. Luke celebrated the victory with his wife and children, who were present at the tournament to witness the win.
