Over a year ago, Tiger Woods lost control of his SUV while driving in the hills outside Los Angeles. The images of the accident were traumatizing and left everyone in shock. No one knew if the former number-one golfer would ever return to play competitive golf. Later, according to reports, they discovered that Woods almost lost his right leg in the accident. There was a 50-50 chance of amputation.

However, doctors put a rod in his leg to stabilize the multiple fractures he sustained during the accident. Although he vowed to return on the PGA tour, no one knew when. He returned to Augusta for Masters 2022, and even though he did not win, watching him back in action was a relief for his fans. He used a cart to move around the course; however, new speculations bring good news.

What is the good news for fans of Tiger Woods?

The Twitter handle of ‘Golf Injury Report ‘GIR’ posted the news of Woods‘ recovery and made every fan happy. According to the tweet, the 15-time major championship winner won’t need a cart to move around the golf course anymore. He feels strong enough to walk the course again after caddying for his son. Therefore, we won’t see Woods in the cart at Hero World Challenge, but only in his best form.

After his car crash on February 23, 2021, he returned to his home for recovery and was next seen in the Bahamas on December 5, 2021. He was practicing his range. On March 9, 2022, the G.O.A.T. also became part of the Hall of Fame, and everyone felt he deserved it. The last tournament we saw him in was at the 150th Open Championship, where he, unfortunately, missed the cut.

The latest achievement of the greatest golfer of all time was the PIP program of the PGA tour. However, he only played nine rounds in three major championships this season; they awarded him the PIP bonus of $15 million. Many golf fans criticized that he does not deserve the bonus as he did not play enough last season. However, authorities decided otherwise because even though he was not on the ground, he still made an impact.
