With each passing week, Marc Leishman is inching closer to his maiden victory on LIV Golf. The Aussie pro narrowly missed out on that this week, ending his round T2 alongside Cam Smith, just 2 strokes behind the victor, Brooks Koepka. Despite him not winning, the 40-year-old played some remarkable golf, with a bogey-free second round and him losing points across the three days with only one bogey and one double bogey.

Aiding him on the course, of course, was his diverse set of clubs, which surprisingly haven’t changed in the past year! The question remains, however, whether the likes of his ‘AI’ driver and his 8-year-old putter will be able to see him grab his first win on LIV this season.

What driver does Marc Leishman use?
Leishman is a Callaway staff player and has a custom-made Rippers GC bag to represent his team. However, in it, he carries a mix of Titleist, PING, and Callaway clubs. Coming to the first, his driver, the Australian star, has settled with the Callaway Paradygm Ai Smoke TS Driver.
Known as the world’s first AI smart face club, it gets activated on impact and helps to optimize the launch while also correcting the spin on off-center shots. Leishman has had the head’s weight reduced by 15% for further forgiveness and low spin. The driver retails for $599.99 on the official website.
For his woods, Leishman unconventionally uses a PING G430 5-wood instead of a 3-wood. The 5-wood gives him a high launch, and the recent adjustment he made with the Carbonfly Wrap technology and a 1.5-degree adjustment hosel helps position the center of gravity better for maximum ball speed over longer distances. The club sells for $349.

In terms of his irons, the LIV Pro opts for the Callaway Apex CB. The lofts on these are one weight lower because it helps him get a bit lower spin than normal, something he prefers across all his clubs. Leishman also uses a Callaway 3-Utility Iron or the PING G430 MAX 7-Wood “depending on the course conditions” and the weather of the day. Interestingly, the Aussie pro also carries a 9-iron with a 66-degree lie in his bag, which he rarely uses.

Leishman’s weapons for the greens
The wedges that the 3-time PGA Tour winner uses are the Titleist Vokey Design SM10 wedges in 47, 51, 54, and 60 degrees. These clubs have a max spin, a lower flight, and an improved feel. Additionally, the shift in CG offers more stability and control in tricky situations. They cost approximately $189 each.
Finally, coming to the most important club for any golfer, for his putter, Leishman turns to the Odyssey Versa One Wide. The Aussie star recently revealed that it has been in his bag since the 2016 British Open.

Even though Marc Leishman is still looking for his win, after this week’s stunning round, it really seems like it’s just a matter of time before he and his unconventional bag find it! Wouldn’t you agree? Let us know in the comments below.
