Golf is a game of discipline and etiquette. However, the golf course is never short of entertaining and hilarious moments. Every now and then, on social media, we see intriguing videos from the golf course. There are many social media accounts capturing and sharing these flashes of fun.

One such video by a golf meme page on Instagram has garnered over 5,000 likes within an hour of being posted on October 27. The Ziregolf video, which has been reposted from LADBible, also got over 170,000 views in the same period. It comes with the caption, “Golf is life”.

Well, funny or not, and real or not, the video does capture one’s attention. It shows a golfer playing along, even when there is a big cloud of smoke in the distance. This is possibly due to an explosion or fire in a building nearby.

Yet, the golfer is focused on his shot. His undeterred demeanor has been noticed by golf fans, who have commented on the video. Followers of the golf memes handle may be used to funny golf videos, but definitely not of this kind.

Seeing the golf player’s dedication in the midst of smoke and fire, a user remarked, “Married to the game”. While another said, “When you think your golf is so fire that you can even smell it.”

A social media user quipped, “That fire started from his first ball.” Another one joked, “A man who knows he only has a couple of holes left before they ask him to leave the property for his own safety…😂.”

But the funniest reaction is yet to come. Even as we speak, comments are increasing on the post. Some are talking about the player’s concentration, while others about him not wanting to waste money paid for the course.

‘Paid way too much’: Fans react to the golfer

Considering the golfer may have already paid for the day’s play at the golf course, he may as well finish the last hole. This is what fans generally felt. “I paid way too much to let a little fire ruin my good time,” said a fan, with flame emojis. Another user shared sentiment and said, “I paid $150 for this. I’m not letting a little bit of carcinogen scare me away”.

Two more users had similar remarks: “That course is probably expensive and don’t offer a redo due to catastrophic fire so decisions were made” and “Listen bro paid for that round, I’d say that was a good swing on the tee considering the weather conditions. Great concentration.”

“Golf is more important,” stated a fan. Similarly, a die-hard fan said, “If I’m gonna die, I wanna die playing golf.”

This fan was being practical, when he said, “No offense but I’d do the same thing.. I’m not stopping the golf outing bc something out of my hands.” (sic) Another fan also felt the same and wrote, “I mean, to be fair what’s he supposed to do?”

Two golf carts with people in it can also be seen in the clip, who are possibly caddies and other golfers. If the video is real and not AI-generated, hats off to these gentlemen for keeping their cool and the game on.
