Predicted Masters cut line

Undoubtedly, Augusta National is arguably one of the most difficult courses on the golf calendar. While the course may be a challenge, golfers may also have to endure the rain forecast on Saturday. But since only the golfers who make the cut get to play the third round, not everyone will face the exigent weather conditions.

According to Data Golf, the chances of the cutline score for the event, at the time of writing, stood highest at two-over par, at 46.5%. Moreover, the chances of the cut line being placed at one over par are also pretty close at 38.8%. Unlike last year where the four over par was the cut line, golfers in this year’s edition of the Major have a bigger mountain to climb.

During the first round at Augusta National, the 47-year-old recorded two over par. While he still has another 18 holes to decide his faith for the weekend, Tiger can only make it to the further two rounds if he has a decent second round with no errors. A fault from fellow golfers can also assist the 15-time Major winner into the cutline. Regardless of what happens in the third round, the Hall of Famer has always proved he’s still got a lot more than what everyone expects from him.

Moreover, Woods has made the cut for a consecutive 22 times in the Masters. If he can record an under or a par score in the second round and makes the cut, Tiger will join Gary Player and Fred Couples for the most consecutive cuts made at Augusta National. Perhaps, another record can be made by the 15-time Major winner at Augusta National. But for that, we’ll have to wait and watch.
