The major championships in golf are as prestigious and unique as they come. This is even more so the case with Masters since it is the first of the four tournaments of the year. However, the event this time around proved to be extra special even before the start of the first round. The reason? All thanks to the fan-favorite Par-3 Contest at Augusta.

Well, the Wednesday before the Masters is a day of warmth for both golfers and their families. Consequently, it didn’t disappoint this time either, as many, including Brooks Koepka, Bubba Watson, Viktor Hovland, and others, made the contest all the more special.

1. The Shower of Aces: Wednesday at Augusta National was filled with golfers dishing out aces at the special competition. Fascinatingly, a total of 5 professionals, including the likes of Viktor Hovland, Lucas Glover, Sepp Straka, Gary Woodland, and Luke List, managed to card a hole-in-one at the par-3 contest, earning cheers and roars from the scores of patrons as well.

2. A Rickie Fowler win: The day’s spotlight was truly in the hands of the Fowler family. Aside from his daughter and her friend portraying the epitome of cuteness on the course, her father was able to clinch the special trophy for the family event as well. It seems a bit of support on the greens is what Fowler needed for his first win in 2024.

3. A Bubba Watson lineage story: The LIV golfer’s daughter, Dakota Watson, stole the show when it came to actual golf with a scintillating display of her amazing talent on the course that hosts the Masters. By the end of the day, she had drained three amazing putts at the iconic grounds, a feat not many people can boast about. It appears the father-daughter duo has found something to remember for a lifetime!

4. The little Crenshaw show: Soon after Dakota carded her marvelous putt, Ben Crenshaw’s young grandson took it upon himself to do the same, with a little bit of help from Bubba Watson and Grandpa. Surprisingly, the two-time Masters champ’s grandson, dressed in the iconic boilersuit and green cap, holed the monster putt. Well, it truly was a magical day and place for the little golfer.

5. The Fowler-Spieth Toddlers: Jordan Spieth’s son, Sammy, and Rickie Fowler’s daughter, Maya Fowler, were unstoppable on the greens. Wait! Don’t get it wrong. Their cuteness is what was overwhelming for the two families and the patrons as they took up the Augusta National as their own “playground for the day.” And naturally, the fans of the sport also seemed to agree!

6. Crew Koepka’s first putt: Brooks Koepka and Jena Sims welcomed their first baby boy, Crew, back in July 2023. Now, nine months later, the 5-time major champ’s son has made his first putt, that too at Augusta National before the start of the Masters. Unsurprisingly enough, fans can’t help but agree with the tweet when it said, “No better place to learn the game.”

7. The hard-hitter Bryson DeChambeau: The ‘Scientist’ was able to shock the community yet again with his strength at the Augusta National ahead of the Masters. On the 570-yard 8th hole known as Yellow Jasmine, the LIV golfer slam-dunked his third shot, resulting in the ball going straight for the hole without any bounces. Suffice it to say, everyone, including Joaquin Niemann, his caddie, and the patrons, were surprised.
