Who does not want the PGA Tour-LIV Golf feud over? Right? It has taken its toll on the golf world, and now fans for something united, something global. LIV Golfer Adrian Meronk recently expressed the same, and the Polish star also suggested that, every golf Tour or league of the world should come together to host events outside America, as the Tour is holding sufficient tournaments on the US soil.

Now if this idea were passed to a PGA Tour Pro, it is a given that they would shrug it off. Well, that’s what Max Homa did. I for one think this is genius and am shocked no one has thought of it before,” he said. Needless to point out the sarcasm behind the statement. Well, as it turns out, the PGA Tour Pro has another opinion, this time for a golf fan.

Max Homa was asked a rather important question. In golf, there is a rule that if your ball falls in a fairway divot, the player does not get free relief. That is, they cannot move the ball without a penalty. He was asked if this rule should be changed. To this, Homa said, “No.”

A few hours later, @kalamazeus, commented on the X post. He wanted to state that if you are not a professional golfer, you have a more carefree approach to the game, and instead of thinking about being perfect, you can just simply enjoy the game. He wrote, Right… but what if you are not good at golf… can you just say f*ck it and roll that thing out?” Its a fair question, some are avid golfers too.

Well, as it turns out, the 33-year-old shared a rather bold and good advice. He suggested that if someone is not playing professionally, they are free to do whatever they want on the greens, and not adhere to rules. The idea is to have fun. It sure is.

Max Homa’s recent comment has created a stir in the golf community, and well, they had mixed reactions.

The golf world left in splits

While professional leagues like the PGA Tour or LIV Golf abide by a lot of rules, which also include the ball on the fairway divot rule, there are informal betting rounds that are played on the courses. Now, these are not governed by the official tournament rules, making the rounds more fun and competitive. Taking to this, one of them commented, “Some of the money leagues I’ve played in allow you to roll it 12” in any direction on the fairway cut only; the thought is you shouldn’t lie on the fairway.”

The game of golf can be very difficult and lonely for one’s mental health. Take the late PGA Tour Pro Grayson Murray’s story, for example. When he came up with his struggles of depression and being an alcoholic, he mentioned how the tournaments creep into you and make you suffer. Well, it is different when you are playing it casually. You do it only to relax. Taking to this, one of them commented, “The best thing I did recently was to stop keeping track of my score. I enjoyed the walk a lot more.”

Golf games are almost incomplete without some alcohol. No matter what the case. If you take even winning, for example, say the Claret Jug. Now the trend is that the players generally drink alcohol out of the jug. When talking about alcohol and golf, whocan forget John Daly. Taking to this, one of them added. “Golf = an excuse to drink in the morning,” as a tone of mockery.

While some of them, simply appreciated Max Homa’s brutal honesty and came up with reality checks, left comments like, “Absolutely!” and Love me some @Maxhoma with the straight-up facts!!”
