Who is Helen Storey?

As we all know, Helen Storey is the caddie of Lee Westwood. She’s been in this role since September 2018 and her presence has been rewarding for Westwood. 

“At my stage of my career, there’s not a lot a caddie can tell me, but obviously Helen gets me in a fantastic mood out there, and psychologically she can help me and say the things that I need to hear,” Westwood told during The 2021 Players Championship.

Storey plays a more significant role in Westwood’s life. She is also his fiancee as the pair began dating in 2015 after Westwood got separated from his ex-wife Laurae Coltart. 

Storey, who has 20 thousand followers on her Instagram account, is a fitness trainer by profession and a caddie by pure accident. She first filled in as Westwood’s caddie in 2018 after the Englishman ended terms with regular caddie Billy Foster.

Lee Westwood made a remarkable performance in the very first event that he played with Storey as his caddie, and he immediately knew that her presence positively affects his performance. Shortly after, he won his first tournament in four years. 

Lee Westwood believes Storey can read his mind pretty well

The lovebugs have been garnering massive attention at every PGA Tour event they go to. Storey was a lively presence around Westwood during The 2021 Players Championship and carried his bag with utmost pleasure. 

“Obviously I get on well with Helen. She doesn’t know too much about golf but she knows a lot about the way my mind works. So she keeps me in a good frame of mind and focusing on the right things at the right time,” Westwood said in 2019. 

It is no secret that Lee Westwood has had somewhat of a career revival with Helen Storey as his caddie. Westwood’s relationship with her has certainly helped in restoring his fame on the PGA Tour. 

Not that the glamour of having your girlfriend as your caddie adds to the appeal, but Westwood has significantly improved his game lately. Helen Storey has been through ups and downs with Westwood, and she enjoys her duty on the course.
