The Senior PGA Championship field is filled with absolute legends with marvelous records! Golf superstars including Pádraig Harrington and Steve Stricker are currently leading the tournament, giving the fans the time of their lives! But appearing as their biggest threat at the event is American professional Stewart Ernest Cink.

The PGA Tour star has had a highly decorated career during his prime years. In fact, he made his mark on the game after he defeated the GOAT, Tom Watson, at the 2009 Open Championship in a spectacular four-hole playoff! Clearly, there is no lack of skill in the former champion. However, a huge amount of credit for his remarkable performances also goes to his family as well as his caddie. Luckily for him, both roles are played by the same person, his wife, Lisa Cink.

Lisa has been supporting her husband’s career not only by rooting for him off the course but also by holding his bag during professional tournaments. The philanthropist and entrepreneur has been caddying for the golf star ever since the RBC Heritage and has been receiving a lot of attention from the fans for the same reason.

The partnership between the two has been pretty incredible and they share an amazing bond on and off the course. Moreover, Cink mentioned how there are numerous perks to having his wife caddy for him. “She’ll make a deal with me if I get a super-long putt inside three feet, she says I get a peck on the cheek,” he revealed. Other than the cheesy side of it, Lisa is also well aware of Stewart’s biggest weaknesses and strengths. And so, she can easily guide him in the best way possible during stressful times mid-tournament.

How long have the two been together?

They say that the best matches are made in heaven. But as per reports, Lisa and Stewart bumped into each other at Florence High School in Alabama. However, after high school, the two went to separate colleges. And it was then that they realized that the bond they shared was more than just friendship!

Soon, Lisa decided to take a much-needed transfer to Georgia Tech to be with the love of her life. And it was in 1993 that they said their vows at the age of 20. The Cinks have two sons, Connor and Reagan, who are equally supportive of the golfer’s profession. Not to forget, Reagan has also caddied for his father during several events. In fact, the golf star won his first tournament in 10 years at the Safeway Open with his son holding his clubs!

With his professional career starting to boom, Cink was all set to conquer the golf world with his skills. But little did he know that a personal bombshell was headed his way in the form of a health disaster for his wife! In 2016, the golfer and his family came across Lisa’s stage IV breast cancer. It was an extremely stressful time for the couple. And notably, the player had to drop the Wells Fargo Championship and eventually cancel his PGA tour in 2016.

Thankfully, Lisa started showing signs of improvement after nearly nine rounds of chemotherapy and finally won her battle against cancer. To everyone’s surprise, the woman made a strong comeback in December 2016 to caddy for Cink at PCA’s Father/Son Challenge.
