Korn Ferry Tour has produced various champions in the past like Jason Day. One such young professional is a part of the field at the Puerto Rico Open this week. Trevor Werbylo is the new golfer on the block and has something interesting to reveal about his golf game.

Werbylo is part of the field with the help of the sponsors’ exemption; this is his second start on the PGA Tour. He is in good knick and already has a top 10 finish at the 2022 Bahamas Great Abaco Classic. He finished at the tied seventh position at the event.

Moreover, the young professional spoke about his way towards playing on the Korn Ferry Tour. It was truly incredible to hear about the 23-yar-olds journey up until now and he made a surprising revelation about his game.

Korn Ferry Tour rookie speaks about his game

In an interview, Trevor spoke about his game. He said, “I never really had an official lesson or Swing Coach ever. Yeah, just watched a lot of Tiger Woods videos on YouTube and watching a lot of golf and I guess maybe here in the announcers give their opinions on certain guys’ swings and what they do well I think helped me learn kind of what I was trying to do in my own golf swing.”

He added, “Trying to learn as much as possible from PGA Tour players at a young age I think helped me get a good understanding of the golf swing and help me better understand my own golf swing.”

Leader at the 2022 Puerto Rico Open

Ryan Brehm leads the pack at the 2022 Puerto Rico Open. He is currently at an overall score of 11-under-par. The American professional carded a round of 67, five-under-par. His round included only one single birdie on the front nine. As well as, two birdies and an eagle on the back nine. He is currently leading by one shot, heading into the third round.
