There aren’t a lot of Guinness World records you can set in golf. The most common is the record for the longest tee shot, but that is a chore for distance hitters. For others who play on a lower level, there aren’t other choices. Except for the ones that come to mind.

As crazy as a club throw in golf sounds, it is actually a metric through which Guinness records are awarded. Not many pros dare to hurl their clubs in the air only to be looked upon direly by supporters and sponsors alike. So the record for the longest club throw in golf remains in the realm of possibilities. However, the current record is sure to leave you gasping.

What golf clubs did Tyson Allen use to smash the Guinness World record?

Allen plays golf on an amateur level. Indeed, he knew which clubs to pick to make history. For the official throws, Tyler made attempts using both a Top Flight Gamer 8 Iron and a Callaway Mack Daddy 356 Wedge. The latter came out on top in terms of distance, which set the record.

On the other hand, the previous record-holder, Blenkinsopp, managed the throw with a Ben Hogan Medallion in Alabama, USA. The self-proclaimed entrepreneur had shown off his latest record on social media, all the while commenting, “I’ll take any challengers”. However, Allen took the challenge seriously, stripping the former of his accolade.

But what is Allen going to do with all the prize money that comes with the record? As a dear Emporian, he has set his sights to raise funds for two local teams that are close to his heart, The Emporia High School Golf Team, and Emporia State Track and Field.
