If you know golf, you know Paige Spiranac. Once a rising professional, now a full-time content creator and one of the most recognizable faces in the sport, Paige has become a media juggernaut with millions of followers, brand partnerships, and appearances in everything from Full Swing Season 3 to Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2. But recently, she disappeared from social media for a stretch—and now we know why.

In her latest YouTube video titled “9 Hole Course Vlog Every Shot + Keeping Score,” Spiranac opened up about a health scare that knocked her off course for nearly three weeks. “I have been sick for the last almost three weeks now,” she said, “where because of sinus infection and other things I’ve been going to like doctors and stuff. So, I’m not really sure what’s going on, but hopefully that gets figured out right before I have to go play.” But it wasn’t just a nagging illness—it got much scarier.

“I went to the doctor and had like a really scary experience,” Spiranac continued, “where she like misdiagnosed me and it was chaotic for like 24 hours. Um, so it’s been kind of a hectic couple of weeks and I haven’t really worked on my game.”

That moment of raw honesty stood out. Her health issues not only disrupted her content schedule but also impacted her ability to practice, compete, and stay active in the sport she loves. And let’s be real: Spiranac isn’t just any influencer—she’s arguably golf’s most polarizing and powerful digital voice. So, when someone like her suddenly vanishes without explanation, fans notice. Thankfully, she’s back swinging, and more candid than ever. She’s also been opening up about what might be next.

In a 2024 interview, as per Sportnewszulion, Spiranac casually revealed, “2025 will be my final year playing golf,” hinting that retirement from the game, completely, could be just around the corner. The golf influencer had professionally retired from the sport back in 2107 and since then had mostly played it as a hobby or to guide her viewers regarding the sport. While there’s no formal goodbye yet, it’s clear she’s shifting gears—from chasing birdies to building her brand. And with 4 million followers on Instagram and high-profile partnerships, her influence in golf media may only grow once she steps away from competitive play. But before any formal farewell, she’s stepping back into the spotlight in a big way: the Creator Classic.
