Scottie Scheffler, the world’s top-ranked golfer, was a fan favorite before the major tournament began in Los Angeles. All thanks to his world-class ball-striking skills, but his putting skills have not been so much in alignment. Despite ending the second day with a score of 5 under and in the T8 position in the $20 million event, the golfer did suffer a huge loss on the course.

What followed the loss was the golfer’s humble nature. Despite being in a state of distress, the golfer still chose to hang around and be grounded, and we mean it literally!

When the second day was concluded at what is turning out to be one of the most epic US Opens so far, Scheffler was the last man standing. The golfer was the last man to leave the range on Friday, as he was practicing his driver. In the middle of his practice, it seemed that the lone winner of the majors was unhappy with his shot, and in spite of the moment, he threw his driver.

Scheffler enjoyed a family-style dinner with mouth-watering cuisine, and he enjoyed it on the floor. He posted a story on his Instagram, sharing with the fans the feast he was devouring, and wrote, “Tonight’s dinner: family style on the floor.”

The golfer was enjoying a variety of pizzas and pasta, along with a side of some vegetables. It is indeed delightful to see the golfer be so humble and down-to-earth that he is able to enjoy little things even after he has had a bad day!

The first day of the 123rd edition of the US Opens started just fine for the 2022 Masters Champion, and he was able to finish in the 29th position. He gained 1.486 strokes on the greens and finished with a score of 3 under 67. His first day was relatively underwhelming. The golfer started the round with a bogey and ended it with one too.
