The golf world recently has been surrounded by incidents of misfortune all around. As the community was still recovering from Jarred Schultz’s mysterious disappearance and death at LIV Golf, another unfortunate news reached fans from the other part of the globe. The 1928-established prestigious Lakes golf club from Australia, today, has come into the news as a crime scene.

Before this incident, the private golf club has been popular as a home to important Australian tournaments including the Australian Open. However, this time, it made the headlines in an infamous manner demanding immediate attention from the South Wales police.

On-the-spot details related to the scene of the crime

On Wednesday around 9.30 am, one of the groundsmen found a body in one of the lakes at the Lake Golf Club on Wentworth Ave. While most of the details regarding the incident are not known, resources suggest that the body is most evidently male.

As the police divers were called to the evidence scene, they pulled the dead body out of the lake on a stretcher. As per reports, this happened while other golfers present on the course continued their gameplay just meters away from the operation. Yet, no witness till now has come forth to report anything about the same.

Not only the on-field force but the Pol-air helicopter and Marine Air command were also called to cordon off the area and take ariel shots. As the officers are trying to find evidence, the cause of the death remains unknown.

Now, the body was retrieved around 12:30 pm ACT, with no identification possible. The reason behind the same was the extreme decomposition, which makes the job even more difficult for the cops. However, the crime scene has been set up inside the Eastlakes.

As a result of which the prestigious Australian club has been closed for now for investigation purposes. A short insight was provided through a local member of the club, per Daily Mail, who called the unfortunate situation a tragedy.
