Gary Woodland Announces Brain Surgery Plan
Early on Wednesday, Gary Woodland gave his followers a significant health update. In an Instagram picture, which was a screenshot from his notes, he revealed that on the 18th of September 2024, he will be undergoing a brain surgery.
This will be carried out to remove a detected lesion. He also revealed that he was made aware of his condition a couple of months ago. He then said that he has been monitoring the symptoms and has tried various courses of medications.
However, after discussions with medical specialists and his family, he chose surgery as the optimal path. He then went on to thank all his followers, family as well as friends for constant support throughout this trial.

His heartfelt message attracted many people to convey their speedy-recovery wishes. Players like Tony Finau also wished him the best of health. A few weeks ago, on the golf course, it didn’t appear things were so bad.

Gary Woodland’s last appearance was quite good
The golfer was last spotted playing competitive golf at Wyndham Championship 2023. He was in excellent form and finished at a total of seven-under-par for the event over the course of four days. He finished tied 27th.

During one of the rounds at the 18th hole, he had hit a low stinger shot using a three wood which was a bad choice but his overall performance was above average which led him to finish in the top 30. The golfer was in decent form to all intents and purposes, and we hope that he will have a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
