LPGA phenom targets a new goal after Solheim Cup

As far as the zeal of the American side is concerned, they just didn’t give up the fight for the Solheim Cup. The score at the end of the event was a tie at 14-14 but as tradition followed, the past winner, Europe, retained the cup.

Danielle Kang, who is one of the senior-most golfers on the USA team, greatly contributed to the competition. The big sister ‘Unnie’ of the squad even got a shout-out from her fellow teammates like Andrea Lee, given that Danielle posted a heart-touching picture that captured the attention of many.

Now days after her Spanish ventures are over, she looks forward to her next goal. As Kang joined in a press conference, she made a candid disclosure. She said, “I know that sports is supposed to give you hope, so hopefully I’m here four years later, I look much stronger on the board, but we’re all going to come together and play well. There are some great players and a lot of turnovers now, and just going to do my best and play the best that I can.”

Danielle Kang has made four appearances in the Solheim Cup until now. She was a part of the USA team in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2023. Thus, it is safe to assert that the lady has acquired a lot of experience, and her hands are equipped with pressure moments of the biennial event.

Let’s take a look at how Danielle has performed in the 2023 Solheim Cup. As she was paired with Andrea Lee in the Friday foursomes, she won the match with 1 up against her European rivals.

Kang was again paired with the same partner for the Saturday foursomes but lost this time against her opponents. The failure streak followed in the afternoon fourballs as well. Then, finally, in the Sunday singles, she won against Charley Hull by 4&2.
