Who is the greatest athlete of all time? This is a question that is commonly asked and debated among human beings for decades. However, the prominent query was asked to the tool of Artificial Intelligence, Chat GPT. While most humans would have considered golfing great Tiger Woods as one of the greatest, the intelligent chatbot thinks otherwise.

The question of the greatest athletes of all time was asked to the Chat GPT by FanDuel. While the list did replicate many icons similar to a list of choices of human beings, it did miss out on one of the greatest golfers of all time.

Top 10 greatest athletes and no Tiger Woods?

Like most human beings’ lists, Michael Jordan also topped the list created by Artificial Intelligence. The fastest man on the planet, Usain Bolt, was placed second followed by 23-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams. Pele, one of the greatest soccer players, was placed in the fourth position.

Known as ‘The Greatest’, Muhammad Ali finished one position below the Soccer legend. While Ali may have won one Olympic Gold Medal back in 1960, the person next on the list has 23 of them. American Swimmer Michael Phelps was given the sixth position while NHL legend Wayne Gretzky was placed at 7th position. 26-year-old Gymnast Simone Biles was placed in the eighth position by Chat GPT.

Though the list had some of the greatest of all time, it still manage to look weak with the absence of other greats. 15-time Major winner Tiger Woods was nowhere to be found on the list along with some other greats such as Tom Brady, LeBron James, Roger Federer, and Cristiano Ronaldo to name a few.

Nonetheless, as the list made it to the Twitter feed, the fans didn’t shy away from sharing their displeasure.

Golf fans unhappy with Tiger’s snub

While Woods has been the face of the 18-hole sport for nearly more than two decades, the golf world wasn’t happy with the list determined by Artificial Intelligence. One Twitter user labeled the list as ‘absolute trash’ while other golf admirers continued asking for Tiger’s absence.

Though many felt dejected after seeing Tiger Woods being snubbed from the list, another set of fans questioned how can athletes from different sports even be compared with each other. Moreover, one user even trolled Chat GPT for its list.

Regardless of what a Chatbot has to say about the 15-time Major winner, the fans are well aware of Tiger Woods and other athletes’ contributions to the sporting world. A single list is not enough to include all the greats. Perhaps, the fans must learn to admire them more instead of comparing them with each other.
