While golf fans are eagerly waiting for the PGA Championship, the participants in the upcoming Major are enjoying their days off watching the NBA Playoffs. Apart from being one of the hottest talents on the PGA Tour, Max Homa also happens to be an avid Los Angeles Lakers fan. While his team may have lost Game 1 earlier today, Homa had a unique opinion about the opposition team’s Center.
Max Homa is widely considered the most active golfer on Twitter. The 32-year-old shares a wide range of reactions on social media, whether it’s a joke about his personal life or an opinion surrounding golf or other sports. Following the Lakers’ defeat against the Denver Nuggets in the first game of the Western Conference Finals, Homa couldn’t contain himself from sharing a thought about a two-time NBA MVP.

What does Max Homa think about the ‘Joker’?
Though a resident of Arizona, Homa chose his favorite team to be from his birth state, California. As the Lakers progressed into the Western Conference Finals, the golfer shared his joy on Twitter. However, LeBron James and his teammates lost to the Nuggets with a score of 132-126 in Game 1. Following his favorite team’s defeat, Homa had an out-of-the-box opinion about the Denver Nuggets’ biggest star, Nikola Jokic.
The Serbian Center dropped 34 points and recorded a triple-double in Game 1. Max Homa, though a supporter of the Lakers, applauded the Joker on Twitter. He wrote, “My friend said Jokic is probably the best ever at beer pong”. The two-time NBA MVP recorded a 12-17 Field Goal against the Lakers, making Homa’s tweet more relatable.

While the comment may have been made by the PGA Tour pro’s friend, the golfer also claimed to have found his buddy’s words more realistic. Max further wrote, “The more I watch him the more I agree”. Homa’s love for the sport of basketball is similar to his love for the 18-hole sport. Similar to his tweet about Game 1 in Denver, the golfer also had some words for the NBA Draft Lottery.
Homa wanted THIS person at the NBA Draft Lottery
A few hours before the first game of the Western Conference Finals, the NBA Draft Lottery was held in Chicago. Though Max Homa had no words directed towards the event, he did troll one of his friends by stating he could have represented one of the teams in the Draft Lottery. “@hen_ease should have been a rep for a team at the NBA draft lottery”, wrote the golfer.

Hank Lockwood, who is the host of Barstool’s Golf podcast ‘Pardon My Take’, received the shout-out from the six-time PGA Tour winner. Nonetheless, as Max will be eagerly waiting for Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals, by then he will be in a competitive mode on the greens of the Oak Hill Country Club.
While Los Angeles Lakers will try their best to get their hands over the Larry O’Brien trophy for the 18th time, Max Homa will simultaneously give it his all at the PGA Championship to take home the Wanamaker Trophy.
