Tiger Woods was sparkling throughout a pre-golf tournament press conference in 2020, thanks to his latest Rolex Deepsea D-Blue. Everyone was taken aback once they realized the watch costs around $12,000. However, the most shocking thing is the golfer’s timepiece costs nothing closer to what NBA’s Golden Boy has in his luxurious watch collection.

Woods, who has a net worth of  around $1 billion, sported his Deepsea D-Blue to the press meet before the 2020 Genesis Invitational. Notably, the famous brand released its first version in 2014, and the one Woods owns is the latest model, released in 2017.

Notably, worlddata.info reported that an average monthly income of a full-time employee in America earns around $6k. Therefore, Woods’ $12k worth of timepiece from the iconic ‘Crown’ collection costs almost 2x of what an average American makes per month. Interestingly, his watch is much cheaper than a similar model NBA’s Stephen Curry owns.

Stephen Curry’s expensive Rolex possession

‘The Richest’ website reports that the point guard of the Golden State Warriors has a watch similar to Woods. However, his Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea had cost him $20,000.

Curry’s net worth in 2022 is $160 million. As a multi-millionaire, the NBA star likes to collect luxurious items, especially watches. According to reports, his favorite timepiece among all his expensive collections is $20k worth of Rolex. He had even worn it when he met the then-POTUS Barack Obama in 2015. The basketball player also was once photographed with it while holding his MVP Trophy in 2016.

Woods has been the ambassador of Rolex since 2011. And as a passionate scuba diver, he loves the latest model of Rolex Deepsea D-Blue.

“I like the fact that I’m able to wear my watch in all different types of environments,” he once said about it. He further added, “Wherever I’m going, it’s going. Whatever I’m doing, it’s doing.” Notably, the golfer also considers the expensive watch as a lucky charm. He had worn it to the Trophy presentation ceremonies of the 2018 Tour Championship, 2019 Masters, and the 2020 ZOZO Championship.
