Nelly Korda had just played with WNBA star Caitlin Clark again at The ANNIKA 2025 Pro-Am. The former World No. 1 also gifted Clark a pair of Nike shoes she designed herself. However, that was not the only sports crossover between golf and basketball this week, as LeBron James was also part of golf, not on the course but digitally.

James had shared a tweet about Korda’s putt on the 18th hole in Round 2 on Friday. “Helluva put Nelly! ⛳️” James wrote. When two such big names are involved, the media is bound to ask questions. “I mean, it’s so cool, especially playing on Wednesday with Caitlin. I actually did see he tweeted about my shoes, too, so it’s cool to see all these legends get into the game of golf,” Nelly Korda said when asked about the tweet.

Korda played with Caitlin Clark in the Pro-Am at The ANNIKA on Wednesday. Clark is a Gainbridge ambassador and was there for the second time. She is one of the biggest names in WNBA, and LeBron James is among the most popular NBA athletes. If these two are even slightly involved in LPGA events, it can introduce a significant number of basketball fans to golf. Therefore, she feels that it is pretty cool and good for golf to have Clark and James interested in golf.
Fans would wonder why James is tweeting about Nelly Korda. Well, he himself said a few days back that he loves YouTube golf. In an X post he shared on November 13, 2025, which was Day 1 of the event, he wrote that “I love watching YouTube golf ⛳️ videos!! Random I know. lol. SO COOL!”
The putt that LeBron James has tweeted about is Nelly Korda’s putt shot on the 18th hole in Round 2. She made a birdie with a break shot. Since it was James tweeting about her putt, the LPGA official X handle even commented on it. The LPGA wrote, “LeBron x @NellyKorda collab on the course soon 👀?” If the two did collaborate, it would be massive for the LPGA. James is one of the most popular NBA stars, with over 158 million Instagram followers. One could even say that he is the Tiger Woods or Rory McIlroy of basketball.

Nelly Korda even mentioned another tweet by LeBron James about her Nike shoes. James even uploaded an Instagram story about her shoes. He reposted the Nike Free Golf “Nelly Korda” Instagram post by golfheadz and wrote, “Definitely getting me a pair of Nelly PE’s!🔥🔥🔥🔥.” James himself is a Nike ambassador and has posted a new kicks by the brand at the start of November 2025.
While this time it is basketball because of collaboration with Caitlin Clark and now LeBron James’ X post, Nelly Korda has collaborated with many other sports athletes.

Nelly Korda’s sports crossover collaborations
Nelly Korda had the best season a golfer could ever ask for in 2024. Of the 16 starts she had in 2024, she made the cut in 13, made it to the top 10 in 11, and won 7 LPGA titles. With this, she became the face of the LPGA along with other elite golfers like Charley Hull, Jeeno Thitikul, and Lydia Ko. As one of the most reputed names in the game, she has collaborations with many athletes from other sports.
Besides Caitlin Clark, she also worked with McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris. The two worked together for the “Icons Tested” TUMI Travels campaign. TUMI Travels shared an Instagram post for the same. In the caption, Korda wrote, “Golf has taught me that strength is found in focus, patience, and the will to keep evolving. Excited to celebrate that drive with @tumitravel in the Icons Tested Campaign #TUMIIcons.” This connected her own golf journey with the campaign’s theme.

Nelly Korda also featured in a video by wearable brand WHOOP, which recently worked with Rory McIlroy at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. The video also featured NFL star Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. Surfer John John Florence was also featured in the video.
Korda’s week at The ANNIKA showed how her game continues to pull major names from different sports into the LPGA spotlight. Moments like these hint at a future where women’s golf attracts an even wider audience through fresh connections and shared enthusiasm.
