Just before everything went quiet, Jessica Korda shot a historic 11-under-60 in the 2021 LPGA Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions—a moment of brilliance that now feels sealed away in time. Jessica has been away from tournaments for a few years now, and for obvious reasons, she had a baby and has been dealing with frequent health issues. But for someone from a family that lives and breathes sports, staying away from the game is nearly impossible. She was out on the course even when she was pregnant, so you get the idea of just how deeply the game is in her.
While she hasn’t returned to LPGA or any professional play just yet, Jessica’s training has picked up momentum since late 2024. In October 2024, she shared on Instagram, ‘Haven’t hit balls since May 2023… So an emergency FaceTime with @nellykorda to talk fundamentals and 💥 boom 💥 mom’s still got it — minus the camera angle.. that needs improvement.’ The post felt like a soft-launch trailer for her comeback. By mentioning the ‘emergency FaceTime’ with her sister, Nelly Korda, Jessica offered fans a glimpse into the close-knit support system helping her navigate this return. One thing’s clear: she’s working hard to get her game back and has been hinting that a return to the professionals could be on the horizon. That said, it’s fair to admit the comeback has had its ups and downs. Fans keep waiting, but Jessica has a way of cooling their excitement every now and then. Could Nelly be the only hope?

Recently, on the 15th of May, Jessica posted a voice-over video in which she was seen practicing again. She was brutally honest with the fans, saying, ‘I am just working on my rhythm and on my strike and just about everything after such a long break…. I am really looking forward to the challenge.’ She said that currently she is struggling; she has not gotten her old rhythm back, but she also clarified that she’s working hard and up for a challenge. To which Nelly’s 8-word reply was, ‘Coach Nelly is ready for your call whenever.’ This shows the strong bond between the two sisters—FaceTiming and practicing together is their new way of spending time and having power sessions to help Jessica rebuild her game.

Nelly also replied, ‘Nice shoes’ and ‘Full influencer with the voice over.’ In total, she commented thrice. Clingy much? That’s the kind of bond they share: unfiltered, unwavering, and never shy about showing up for each other with love, support, and quiet strength. When her older sister had left the tour to concentrate on her family, Nelly Korda had a hard time adjusting to her sister’s absence from the sport. So, her comeback efforts are more of happy news to the world No. 1 than to the fans.
With all that said, how soon can fans expect Jessica Korda to make a full professional comeback?

When will Jessica Korda make a comeback? Could it be sooner than 2026?
With the way Jessica’s been picking up momentum practicing regularly, FaceTiming with Nelly for guidance, and sharing her progress on Instagram, one can’t help but wonder: could we see her back on the field sooner than 2026?
The 2025 U.S. Women’s Open is just around the corner. Wouldn’t it be something to see both Korda sisters competing on the same course? Fans would absolutely lose it. That kind of moment would be electric. However, for a proper comeback, 2026 seems reasonable. Let’s be real, Jessica’s got Nelly in her corner, and there’s no better coach she could ask for. A little ironic, sure, since Nelly’s the younger one. But she’s also the world’s best, and she’s all in on helping her sister rebuild. Nelly’s becoming a huge part of Jessica’s comeback, and if they do land on the same field again, it’ll be one for the books.
