The insecurities of having the best body lie with almost everyone. The mental and physical challenges are something that comes along with it. LPGA Tour star, Lexi Thompson, too had her difficulties. Throwback to an Instagram post from the golfer in which she revealed all about body confidence struggles she’s faced since being a kid.

Thompson has been one of the top golfers in the women’s professional circuit since her pro debut back in 2010. However, turning pro at a young age such as 15 has its own drawbacks.
In 2018, the LPGA star decided to take a break from professional golf. She clarified the decision was taken to take some time for herself. However, upon her return, the 27-year-old shared her body struggles with a heartfelt Instagram post.
An inspiring and emotional post from Lexi Thompson
The year 2018 was a challenging year for the golfer beyond the boundaries of the golf course. She revealed it through an Instagram post. “This is a pretty personal post”, wrote Thompson at the beginning of the message that cast light on her struggles.

The 2014 Chevron Championship winner further wrote about how she never cared about fitness as a kid. “One of the biggest issues I’ve gone through is my self image/ body confidence. When I was really young, I just ate what I wanted to, didn’t care about fitness at all or what I weighed”.

However, as she became a professional golfer, many brand deals approached Thompson for photoshoots. To look fit for the photo shoot, the golfer used to perform brutal workouts twice a day while avoiding having any meals. “I thought that’s the way I would lose weight”, wrote Lexi Thompson.
After revealing all her struggles at the beginning of the post, the LPGA star then shared some motivating words that helped her get through the barriers in life. Moreover, she also inspired all women who faced similar insecurities.
Thompson learned to embrace her body
The 27-year-old golfer wrote about how having the perfect body can be a key element of gaining confidence. However, she also states that to have the perfect body, every person must learn to love themselves first. “The only way you’ll ever be truly happy though is if you love yourself first”, wrote Thompson.

She then provides a helping hand to everyone who’s struggling by stating they are not alone. She wrote, “What I’ve learned is that I’m not going to deprive myself in the one life I get to live, I’m going to enjoy life and my food”. Lexi Thompson ends by writing to never compare yourself to others.
She wrote, “You should never compare your body to others it’s a never ending battle of being miserable trust me. Your body is your body, it is beautiful so embrace it”. Since then Thompson has been confident with her body and even constantly posts her workout sessions on social media. Moreover, her confidence has also recently risen on the course as she had eight top-10 finishes in 18 starts this season.
