A yardage book is a compact publication that showcases graphics, photos, or charts of every hole in a golf course.

The primary function of a yardage book is to furnish a golfer or caddie with the measurement, typically in yards or meters, from the ball’s current or anticipated position to the intended target. This assists the golfer in selecting the appropriate club to achieve the desired outcome.

The yardage books used in the PGA Tour not only provide distances between two points but also offer in-depth information on topographical characteristics, inclines, recommended putting paths, and measurements of important parts of each hole.
