The aforesaid charity event was scheduled to be organized at the Trump National in Doral, Florida. The course is one of the favorite courses of the NFL player. Poyer shared on his Instagram about the cancelation of this year’s event and the reason he shared with everybody was truly concerning.

He shared that “a few sponsors and golfers” decided to withdraw from the event at the very last minute because of the venue of the event.

The reason they pulled out was the external pressure they were getting because of the event’s venue. Poyer said, “They decided they didn’t want to take part in my tournament in which they took part in last year because of where it’s at, at Trump National Doral in South Florida.”

OutKick, a prominent American news house shared an update about the same and called it a “forced” cancelation. They also raised concerns that how the people who refer to themselves as left-wing elites care more for “themselves/their image than the “marginalized” people” they claim to care about the most.

One of his biggest sponsors, ECMC, appears to be behind the chaos. Despite the hardships Poyer is facing to do some good for society, his determination to continue has not stopped.

Talking about how he does not agree with ECMC’s political ideology, he said, “I’m not naïve. I understand where they are on the political spectrum, where New York is on the political spectrum. Do I agree with a lot of it? No, I don’t. I’m sorry, but I don’t.”

The question here arises if Poyer was willing to put his differences aside for the greater good, why were not other people?
