John Daly is undoubtedly an exquisite golfer, but imagine him as a golf coach. Two years ago, following his performance at The Match, Tom Brady’s golfing skills were widely received with mixed emotions by most fans. However, Daly believes the 7 time Superbowl champion had poor golf swing. The golfer believes he could fix the issues in Tom Brady’s golf game.

The 2020 installment of The Match saw the team of Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady compete against the team of Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning. Brady and Lefty ended up losing the $10 million charity game. To make matters much worse, Tom Brady’s performance in the initial rounds was heavily trolled by the fans.

PGA Champions Tour star, John Daly, also shared his views on the performance of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers star. He also hinted to help the footballer in fixing his golf swing.

Though Brady may be considered a G.O.A.T. on the football field, he struggled to find form initially on the golf course. More so, the current LIV Golf star, Brooks Koepka, also trolled the NFL star by claiming to donate $100,000 for the aid of the Covid-19 disaster if Brady managed to par any of the opening nine holes. On the commentary crew, NBA Hall of Famer, Charles Barkley, had also participated in the tease of the NFL star.

Following the event, Daly shared his thoughts. He said, “I could fix him in a heartbeat,” responding to the fact that Brady participated in the event without a driver in his bag. Daly added, “Tom could hit a driver. That’s the easiest club in the bag to hit. It’s the biggest face in your bag, and somebody’s not helping him. We need to get his driver right… we’ve got to give him a driver.”

The 56-year-old ended by saying, “I can help him in 10 minutes. It’s so easy to hit a driver”. Well, it might be easy for a 2 time Major Champion to hit a driver better than an amateur golfer. Though Daly wasn’t commenting on how awful Brady’s golf swing is, instead he believed it could be executed in a much better way.

Moreover, much like his football playing style, Tom Brady did show up during the clutch moments in The Match. As the event continued, Brady’s performance was also seemingly improving.

Following his two consecutive losses since 2020, Tom Brady finally had his first “The Matchwin earlier this year alongside Aaron Rodgers after defeating the team of Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. Maybe John Daly did help the NFL star in improving his swing after all.
