Tiger Woods’ funny answers to an unbelievable break
A moment of luck along with talent is crucial in winning golf events. It can also be the deciding factor in determining which professional will win a particular event. Moreover, Woods’ former caddie Steve William and the host of the podcast Chasing Majors Evin Priest recently spoke about a miraculous moment in Woods’ career. Not to forget, Steve caddied for Tiger from 1999 till 2011. The duo won 13 major championship events, and Williams was crucial for Woods’ success at the 1999 PGA Championship.
Furthermore, they talked about an incident at the 2006 PGA Championship at Medinah Country Club. Tiger hooked his opening tee shot way left in the second round on Friday. But one of the spectators stuck his arm out. As a result, the golf ball ended just a couple of yards left to the fairway bunker. Evin also revealed the funny comments Woods made about the spectator’s interception after Tiger finished his round, which involved the NBA legend, Shaquille O’Neal.

Preist said, “To start off the second round Tiger hooked his opening tee shot way left to the fairway. But he arrived to find his ball only a few yards left of a fairway bunker. And what had happened is one of the Tigers fans had actually stuck his arm out and deflected the golf ball back towards the fairway. And Tiger said after the round, it’s nice to have Shaquille O’Neal out there knocking them back.”

Williams added, “Yeah. So he was very fortunate there that somebody has you know, like that. Oh, hey it is Tiger ball put out a hand to it. Apparently, he did it on purpose. He wasn’t protecting themselves from hitting the ball. But that I don’t know.” Moreover, Evin’s incredible revelation proves how important luck is in golf, as Woods went on to win the 2006 PGA Championship. At the same time, it depicts the five-time Masters winner’s incredible sense of humor.
