Sponsors can make or break an athlete’s career. More often than not, athletes earn far more from their sponsorship deals than they do from their sport. In golf too, sponsors hold high value. They are also proof of a player’s skill since some companies sponsor only an elite bunch. In the LPGA, there are not many players with a better skillset than Nelly Korda. Her most recent sponsor stands testimony to that, as she joins the likes of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy with a recent signing.

Korda has become the face of the LPGA Tour in the last couple of years. The pro golfer has won eight times on the Tour and is only 24 years old. While she undoubtedly looks to get many more wins under her belt, Korda will do so under a new sponsor.

Korda’s new sponsorship news breaks the internet

Last week it come to light that Nelly Korda was no longer sponsored by Titleist. This led to multiple rumors floating around that the pro was signing with TaylorMade or Molitor. But the only thing certain was that Nelly had a sponsor. But things have now taken a complete turn for the better.

As per NUCLR Golf, Korda recently partnered up with Nike on an apparel deal. Joining the highly exclusive cohort, the World No. 2 now stands with the likes of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Michelle Wie, who are also sponsored by Nike. Not only does this add to her reputation and prestige, but it is a testament to the 24-year-old’s talent as well.
