LIV Golf’s situation has now completely turned around from where it was nearly a year ago. From the new Tour garnering a lot more attention than ever before to its fan base gradually increasing, it seems like the Saudi-backed league is in a much better place. And with the league now heading over to Australia for its fast-approaching event, it seems like interest in it is only rising. And Bubba Watson is more than glad for the fans for that!

Next week, the new league heads to Australia for its first-ever event in the country. The fans’ excitement for the event is through the roof. It certainly seems like the new league is more popular than ever in Australia. And with the country’s golf legend, Greg Norman, leading them and the likes of Cameron Smith and Matt Jones within their ranks, it’s not hard to see why! The popularity of LIV is so tremendous in the ‘Land Down Under’ that many have talked about its events being held there.

The two-time Masters winner, Bubba Watson, is among those who think more Australian events could be good for the breakaway tour. “They’ve talked about they want three down there because the want is so high,” he said, as per a recent Fox Sports article, talking about Australia. “I’m not saying we’ll end up doing that, and you’ve got to remember we’re a small entity.”

Watson also claimed that the Australian audience was different from the others, and hence it was an event all the new series players were eager for. “Nobody is bad mouthing us down there, so that’s what we’re looking forward to,” he stated. “If people want us, why not?”
