John Daly hasn’t been involved in a lot of controversies for his actions on the field. However, there was a time when the golf legend was invited as a guest on a show. But rather than sticking to the topic, Daly had a little confession of his own during the show. And it had everything to do with his sobriety.

John Daly made a confession during a show

Long John Daly has had a long reputation for drinking and smoking throughout his career. The golf star has turned up drunk on the field several times. He even admitted to drinking in the middle of a tournament once. However, keeping his bad habits aside, Daly is also known for his utmost honesty.

John Daly has been in several interviews and has talked about all his strengths and weaknesses without hesitation. And fans love this about him. However, there was a time when no one asked him about his state, and he decided to confess something.

The golfer was invited as a guest on SEC Nation ahead of a game between Arkansas Razorbacks and Cincinnati Bearcats. And looking at the player so close to them, fans couldn’t help but offer gifts to the ‘Bad Boy’. Right before the game, a few fans came forward to offer Daly beers, which he happily accepted from them.

When a fan offered him another one, he said, “I got some good s*** right here,”, and still took it. Daly also hit a few balls on the field and it all turned into a big cup beer pong game soon. But in the highlight of the show, Daly admitted he was not as sober as he looked.

In response to a question that had nothing to do with Daly being sober, he said, “I’m not going to lie, I’m drunk,”. We get why he must have done that. A man who can easily drink 35-40 beers in one go and still stand straight on his feet hardly ever gets tipsy! Having a reputation different from most golfers across the world, the 56-year-old is also famous for smoking cigarettes on the field. However, the golf ace has gone through a lot in his personal and professional life. And these habits are not something he is very proud of.
