Now Out of the Darkness, Phil Mickelson Cheekily Supports LIV Golf Following Massive Victory

Among many names in the LIV Golf, none have a higher brand image than Phil Mickelson. He has been the voice and the face of the lucrative Tour since it was only a rumor. In Lefty’s latest display of support for the breakaway Tour, he liked a tweet that had highly appreciative words about the Saudi-funded Tour’s new deal with CW Network.

Though LIV Golf managed to grasp all the hot talent from the PGA Tour, they still lacked a valuable TV deal. Nonetheless, after months of heavy scrutiny, the breakaway Tour finally signed a multi-year broadcasting deal with CW Network.

Despite the mega deal, many golf fans still believe the CW deal will do no good for LIV Golf. However, one account on Twitter disagreed with the majority voicing his support for the Saudi-funded Tour, and much to everyone’s surprise got the approval of the six-time Major winner.

Phil Mickelson is a fan of the LIV Golf – CW deal

Though Mickelson may not be as active on Twitter as he once used to be, the 52-year-old has been making his presence known on the social media platform for the past two days. In his recent activity on Twitter, Phil admired a tweet showing love for LIV Golf’s new broadcasting deal with CW Network.

From what I can tell, as a non US resident, the deal with The CW continues the trend of LIV trying to target a younger audience with their festival style events. Imo, if a product can be offered that helps get kids interested in golf and onto a golf course it’s a very good thing.

Flushing It Golf is a notable golf Twitter handle that shares its point of view on the sport. In its recent take, it tweeted, “From what I can tell, as a non US resident, the deal with The CW continues the trend of LIV trying to target a younger audience with their festival style events. Imo, if a product can be offered that helps get kids interested in golf and onto a golf course it’s a very good thing”.

Most dramas or sitcoms on the CW Network target the younger audience. With LIV Golf being their latest partner, the young audience will get to watch the sport of golf via the lucrative Tour. Perhaps it may result in creating interest among many youngsters. The Twitter handle’s valid tweet was approved by Phil Mickelson by a like.

Being in the sport for more than three decades, Mickelson has been an idol for many aspiring golfers. As he approaches the penultimate phase of his career, his contribution towards inspiring young kids only spreads further, thanks to LIV Golf and CW Network.
